Early in my SaaS career, when I was taking on sales leadership responsibilities for the first time, I often asked myself if I would have the courage to do the right thing the right way if (and when) challenged with difficult business decisions.
Sometimes, you have to make tough business decisions that are right and crucial for the business. Many of us have had to deal with that several times in our leadership lives.
And as years go by in my career as a SaaS sales coach, I see that very often, leaders are trying to do something that doesn’t fit their company yet.
Some startups are having problems with lead generation but are aiming to solve them by using Fortune 500 company strategies. Don’t get me wrong. It’s totally alright to aspire to become one of those top companies but to succeed in your business, you have to do what is right on your current level.
